Becky Langwost Barlow Jaralyn Finn Marianne Pingree
We are pleased to have two exceptional equestrians, Rebecca Langwost-Barlow and Jaralyn Finn, who regulary teach at Wyndham Oaks.
► Becky Langwost-Barlow, Senior Trainer Rebecca Langwost-Barlow is a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist and one of the first USDF certified trainers to Fourth Level. She was a world-ranked Grand Prix rider on her self-trained Dutch gelding Gomerant. As the first recipient of the Dressage Foundation Scholarship, she trained under the renowned Olympian Dr. Reiner Klimke and Rolf Isselhorst in Germany. She also trained with Michael Klimke, Willy Arts, Conrad Schumacher, Hans Juergen Armbrose, Rudolf Zeilinger, Georg Theodorescu and other internationally acclaimed professionals. Becky is a frequent contributor to Dressage Today, Practical Horseman and other local publications as well as serving as a training and showing expert for many national magazines. She is featured in a new book, Rhythm Riding: A Guide to Riding with Music by CeCe & Frank Maddlone. She has started many youngsters and trained horses to FEI levels including Grand Prix. She teaches students of all ages and at all levels including Grand Prix.
In 2008, her self-trained horse Welfenstein won Reserve National Hanoverian Intermediare II Champion Horse of the Year. She trained Rhett, who in 2008 was rated the top Nationally-Bred FEI Horse; Rhett and Jim Koford received the Barlow Ramsay Grant which will enable them to train and compete in Europe with trainer Conrad Schumacher. Rebecca also broke and trained Zorba S.E., who in 2008 was the top ranked Dutch 4 year-old in the country upon winning the national DG Bar Cup.
In past years, Rebecca was an FEI rider for two USDF National Symposiums: for Dr. Reiner Klimke on the elite Hanoverian stallion Guderian and for Conrad Schumacher on the Grand Prix horse Gomerant. She and her self-trained Dutch gelding Nando continue to hold the distinction of being the only horse-rider pair to win the Prix St. George and Intermediare I in the same year at the BLM Regional Finals in Lexington, VA. These are just a few of her many accomplishments; she has taken many different horses to a large number of high-score and year-end championships at all levels over the years.
Becky's experiences as a leading dressage trainer, as a competitive jumper, and as a backer of babies on the race track have given her a depth and range of knowledge met by only a few.

► Jaralyn Finn, Trainer
Jaralyn Finn trains riders and horses of all levels, from Intro to FEI. She is a USDF Silver and Bronze medalist, and a USDF “L” graduate with distinction. Originally an eventer and equitation rider, Jaralyn began to focus on dressage after working as an assistant for US dressage team member Arlene “Tuny” Page in the early 1990’s. Jaralyn has also worked extensively with “S” judge and FEI trainer Bill Warren for the last 5 years. A big believer in continuing her education, Jaralyn has ridden in clinics with many notable trainers over the years, including continuing work with Conrad Schumacher.
Jaralyn is an avid dressage competitor and she shows throughout the year. She helped several students achieve their bronze and silver medals. In addition to showing several of her clients horses, Jaralyn has several competition horses of her own: “Darius” who she has been training since 2006 and is currently showing Intermediare; “Brio” who she bought as a 6 year old and is competing 4th level; and “Finnikin” who was reserve champion at the BLM’s in Prix St. Georges in 2008. Jaralyn has qualified horses for regional championships at every level through Intermediare I.
Jaralyn’s focus as a trainer is to increase the harmony between the horse and the rider, and from there, to create a correct and competitive dressage partnership. Jaralyn accepts students and horses for full and partial training arrangements, and will also represent horses for sale. She is available to judge schooling shows and will also teach clinics. ► Marianne Pingree, Assistant Trainer
Marianne Pingree, working through Jaralyn Finn, will replace Juli Koehler as our Assistant Trainer. Marianne trained with Tuny Page while in high school, eventing through Training level as a junior/young rider. She switched to dressage full time and imported her Dutch horse Juneau in 1998. Marianne competed Juneau in Florida and then deferred her acceptance into Brown University to train in Germany with Jonny Hilberath for two years. In Germany, Marianne competed in the Young Riders and Prix St. Georges classes, and trained Juneau to the Intermediare I level. She also taught lessons and helped to break young horses with the Hilberaths. She commuted back and forth to Germany while she finished her degree in Economics from Brown, and while at school she coached the Brown Dressage Team. In 2003 Juneau returned to the states and Marianne trained with Lars Peterson until she graduated from Brown and Juneau was sold.
After working in the private equity markets, she decided to return to dressage full time in 2008. She was the Barn Manager for dressage trainer Mary Flood until the summer of 2010. Married in the fall of 2010, she and her husband Albert live in D.C. and she will be acting as Assistant Trainer for Finesse Dressage, teaching and riding part-time. Marianne currently owns a young Dutch horse (Zion) that she hopes to compete in 2011, and has been training and competing a client’s horse for the past two years which she is planning to show Prix St. Georges in 2011.
