nov 14/15: building a dressage freestyle - terry ciotti gallo

Terry Ciotti Gallo’s freestyles have appeared in seven Olympics and World Equestrian Games and resulted in two World Cup titles. Her clients include Debbie McDonald, Guenter Seidel and Steffen Peters. If that is not enough, she has served for 20 years on the USDF Freestyle Committee (six years as it’s chair) and is the author of the USDF freestyle continuing education program for judges. For her talent, service and dedication, Terry received a USDF lifetime achievement award in 2021.

Terry will bring her 30 years of experience to Wyndham Oaks on November 14 and 15 for a fun and educational clinic. The clinic will be divided into two sessions with mounted participants and auditors attending both sessions. Mounted sessions, each one 45 minutes, include a tempo analysis, learn to ride to the beat of the music and choreography for one gait. Levels from Training to Grand Prix are welcome. The three hour seminar session takes riders on a step-by-step journey of finding music right for their horse, reviewing the rules, planning effective choreography and more.

Twelve mounted spaces will be available. Auditors are also welcome but will need to register to ensure that we have adequate seating for the seminar session.

Sign-up information and pricing will be available mid-summer.

Michael Alway Clinics

Horsemanship is way more than riding, it is understanding the horse at a deeper level. Michael specializes in understanding the horse’s individual nature, learning style, confidence level and achieving success through effective communication, understanding and psychology. Michael stresses that performance is not just being a good show horse. Performance means having the partnership, confidence and willingness from your horse at all times whether you are showing or simply enjoying the trail. For a horse to perform, he must be fit, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well, and that requires a solid foundation.
